Immersive Fan Experience with Uber & Manchester United

Challenge:
Uber, as the Official Ride Partner of Manchester United, wanted to redefine global fan engagement and bring fans closer to the legendary Old Trafford stadium, the “Theatre of Dreams.” The challenge: create a unique, disruptive experience that activated sponsorship rights in a way that was innovative, memorable, and globally scalable.
Approach:
Working with Uber, Manchester United, COPA90 and Jaunt we produced a 360° immersive experience that transported fans from a 9m dome in Bengaluru, India, to the heart of Old Trafford.
The activation included:
“Where To?” 360° film: A 7-minute cinematic VR journey, giving fans a virtual tour of the stadium
Augmented Reality experience: Fans posed alongside the iconic Trinity Statue outside Old Trafford
Social media content: A 90-second 360° video version distributed on Manchester United’s Facebook page
Using state-of-the-art 360° cameras and AR technology, we delivered a fully immersive, interactive experience that made fans feel like they were physically at the stadium, while extending the activation globally through social platforms.
Results
- Over 8,000 fans experienced the dome activation in Bengaluru across three days
- Social media performance: 450k+ views and 9.5k likes for the 360 video
- Global campaign reach: 89 million fans, 31 million video views, 1 million engagements
- Exceptional ROI: 100x earned media relative to production spend
